Brief Description


This course presents the essentials of applying a scientific project in economics. It provides an opportunity to go through the research process, measurement of variables, data collection methods, sampling, some statistical terms and techniques, data analysis and interpretation. The students are required to submit a research project for completion of this course.


Course Objectives


After completing this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Describe main concepts in research context.
  2. Demonstrate proficiency in making effective written presentations
  3. Analyze business problems creatively.
  4. Apply main ethical issues in research.
  5. Interpret social responsibility issues and their impact on business decisions.
  6. Design team based activities in solving research problems.
  7. Evaluate scientific research methods in economics research and apply those methods to propose business solutions.
