Brief Description
This course presents the essentials of executing a scientificresearch. At the beginning student will be trained to develop his/her research proposal. At later stages, student will be trained through the entireresearch process; literature review, building research model, measurement of variables, data collection methods, data analysis and interpretation, and preparing the thesis.Successful completion of this course is subject to the success in the oral defense of the thesis organized by the department. The overall goal of the dissertation for the student is to display the knowledge and capability required for independent research work.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Identify the research problem, research questions, research objectives, importance of the research, and the accounting aspect related to the research topic.
- Review previous studies related to the subject of research.
- Identifies and formulates hypotheses, research design, method of data collection, and analyzes data.
- Demonstrate an effective written communication of a scholarly research.
- Demonstrate capability to orally present and discuss all aspects of the dissertation.
- Recognize main ethical issues in research.
